How would you like to tell your friends back home you navigated the Panama Canal alongside humongous cargo ships and cruise ships? Well join us for a day of Kayaking on Lake Gatun, the Panama Canal, and a visit to Monkey Island for an unforgettable kayaking experience in Panama.
We depart early from the Gamboa Public Boat Ramp in a motor boat that will take you through the Panama Canal and to a private tropical island. Once geared up with paddles and two person kayaks we will begin to navigate small channels deep into the surrounding tropical jungle in search of wildlife. Gliding silently through the smaller canals within the Panama Canal with your ears alert to the sounds of various tropical creatures in their natural habitat, our guides will ensure you spot iguanas, monkeys, crocodiles and various tropical birds along the way.
We will navigate our kayaks deep into the tropical jungle for nearly 4 hours more or less depending on the pace of the group. Once we have worked up an appetite, we will serve a delicious native style lunch and refreshments to help you recharge (cash bar available as well). You will have a little time to relax in a hammock if you wish before we depart for our return to the city
On our way back we will stop by Monkey Island to get you up close and personal with our furry simian friends the White Capuchin monkeys and maybe spot and at least hear some Howler Monkeys in the distance. After some great photo ops to share with your friends back home we will take you back to the transportation waiting at the Gamboa Public Boat Ramp.
