Ok, so the meeting time of 6:15am on a Sunday may feel a bit daunting, we know. Rest assured, you will be met on board with fresh Panama coffee and delicious breakfast to help you start your day. By 7:00am we will be cruising carefree to the spectacular Pearl Islands Panama! Relax on board our mega catamaran seeking out the dolphins and other marine life along the way. Dolphins like the sound of the catamaran's motor and love to play in the boats wake. The cruise from Panama City to Pearl Islands is about 2 hours. Final destination: the secluded beaches of Chapera Island.
If Chapera Island sounds familiar, you are most likely a fan of Survivor Pearl Islands. Chapera is one of the 3 islands that “Survivor Island” was filmed on. The others being the neighboring islands of Mogo Mogo & Saboga. This means there are no amenities, so we bring the party….literally! On the beach we will set up a Live DJ, prepare a full BBQ & offer a cash bar to get the beach party started.
Your Pearl Islands beach day has something for everyone in the family. For those looking for things to keep them active, our animator will lead you in a lively game of beach volleyball or futbol (soccer to you North Americans). If you are looking to chill and relax, take advantage of the loungers, chairs, tables and beach umbrellas we set up on the beach. Want to see more of the island? Leave only footprints as you explore the white sandy beach and trails on Chapera Island.
Did we mention how crystal clear the water is in the Pearl Islands? No trip to the Pearl Islands is complete without a dip in the ridiculously clear Pacific Ocean. The coastline is shallow so you can walk out pretty far into the water and look back for a great photo op of the beach. You can relax and just float or swim out deeper if you like, we have a life guard on duty to keep your mind at ease.
After a full day on the beach, it’s time to hop back on board the catamaran and cruise back to Panaama City. The music will be cranking and the dance party will be in full swing on our 2 hour cruise back to port. Again, keep an eye out for dolphins and maybe even a whale or two (check out our whale watching tour in season).

Children: Minimum age is 3. Children 3-12 years old pay a discounted rate. This is a great family activity in Panama, but a long day for really young ones.
Restrictions: Unfortunately, the access to Chapera Island is not wheelchair accessible. You need to be able to go from the large boat to a small water taxi and climb out of the water-taxi at the beach. Call us with any restrictions and we are happy to accommodate if possible.
Important Notes: The BBQ lunch consists of chicken and sausage. If you are a vegetarian, the chef can make a substitution ONLY if notified in advance. Please note any dietary restrictions in the special instructions box. If you prefer, you can always bring your own food & snacks on board.
Bonus! If you want alcoholic beverages but do not want to use the cash bar, you are welcome to bring a 15x15 cooler bag, however keep in mind that glass containers are not permitted. If you want to bring wine, transfer it into an acceptable container and bring plastic cups. The staff will perform a search of your bags prior to boarding.
